Check-Go Pro Golf Ball Sweet-Spot Finder, by Technasonic

There's nothing worse than striking what you think is a good putt, only to see it move away from the target line.  We often chalk it up to a bit of a mis-hit or something on the green, but more likely it was the ball.  There has never been a ball made that was perfectly round and perfectly balanced. That lack of balance present in every ball often causes missed putts and takes away from optimum ball flight, unless you find the optimum balance point of your ball.  The Check-Go Pro helps you find that "sweet spot."  It is extremely easy to use and, as testing has proven, finds the true optimum balance point, which has nothing to do with the manufacturers logo.

2007 Hybrids Review

A great look at the uses of hybrid clubs and reviews several different clubs, from the well-known to the not-so-famous.  They're here to stay, learn to use them and which ones to look for.

Solus Series 4.1 Wedges

A non-traditional look is not always a bad thing (see the Callaway FT-i and the Nike Sumo2). The "crescent cut sole contour" has been billed as one of the most technologically advanced wedges to date.  It's worth a look, as this positive review from iGolf.com demonstrates.

Club Deals of the Week

We've scoured the web to find the best deals of the week.  Hope what you're looking for is here.

TGW.com is running a good sale on many premium drivers, mostly last year's models (big surprise), but good prices nonetheless.  Less than $200 will get you either a Callaway X-460 Ti, a Nike SasQuatch 460 Ti, a Taylor Made r5 Dual, Cleveland HiBore Titanium and more.

The Callaway X460 drivers continue to be on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods for $199.00.  This is one of those clubs that was unbeatable last year, at the low price of $374.99.  Edwin Watts also has them on sale, for .99 more.

EW offers $5 UPS flat rate shipping.

The World of Golf (TWOG.com) has free shipping on all orders over $50.  With prices comparable to several other online retailers, the free shipping could make a big difference.

Golf Industry News

Strategic Shafts Technologies reports that British Open champion Padraig Harrington had his clubs SST Pure aligned.  SST PURE Shaft Alignment is used by more than 200 players on the PGA Tour and is available through a network of custom clubmakers and manufacturers throughout the United States and internationally. Using computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft's most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its PURE orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves up to 51 percent. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts - steel or graphite - from most major manufacturers. Upon having his shafts SST PURE aligned, a player receives a personalized computer printout confirming the process and an SST PURE shaft label for every shaft that has been PUREd. For more information or to locate a licensee near you, visit the SST PURE website at www.sstpure.com.
